nurseLow cost lab and health screenings are available year round.  One of our core values is to help everyone in our community access common wellness screenings.  The Cancer Association of Havasu and HcHF are working together to provide several lab screenings to achieve that goal.
The Cancer Association of Havasu and the Havasu Community Health Foundation endeavor to help our community access common wellness screenings.    In 2013 we added 3 new programs and expanded our lab program.  Havasu Community Health Foundation is a 501(C)3 organization and is funded entirely by donations and proceeds of fundraising events.
Local residents, who pay a low fee, can benefit from CA-125 (Ovarian Cancer and Lung Cancer) and PSA (Prostate Cancer) lab screenings supported by the Cancer Association of Havasu.  Mammograms (screening and diagnostic) are available for a low fee as well. These early-detection screenings are made available as a result of the successful fundraising efforts of the Cancer Association volunteers as well as voluntary donations.
Havasu Community Health Foundation makes a number of common wellness screenings available for a nominal fee: T3 Uptake, Free T4 and TSH (all thyroid related tests), Complete Blood Count, Vitamin D, Hemoglobin A1c, Lipid Panel, Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP), and Urinalysis. These tests are supported by HCHF funds gathered through local fundraising events and undesignated donations. Undesignated donations to the Foundation General Fund enable current screenings programs to continue as well as allow growth of new and expanded health-related programs and services.
To take advantage of these screening and diagnostic programs, individuals complete a form and pay all applicable fees at the Havasu Community Health Foundation Office located in Acoma Executive Plaza, 94 Acoma Blvd. S. Ste. 101, Lake Havasu City, AZ.
